I've gotten around to staying again, and once again leave disappointed.
-- Got a National Suite, which they called a 'premium suite' in email communications (odd). That was great, because the standard room I stayed in last time was pretty small. But here too, each of the three spaces felt tight. The couch was hard as a rock and impossible to be comfortable in. Unlike most suites I've stayed in throughout various Hyatts, this is certainly not a room I'd want to stay in longer than a couple of days. The shower pressure was decent in my room, perhaps because I was on one of their lower floors.
-- Breakfast credit for the three of us (2 adults, 1 child) was $75. This was not nearly enough to get what the terms and conditions are for globalist. Hot entree items (standard american breakfast, for example), is 20 some dollars. We got three entrees (one of which was a cold entree) a pot of coffee, and a single juice, and the total was $110 after their gratuity and room delivery fee. We only got the $75 credit. This is not in compliance with terms and conditions. The breakfast food was fairly meh too (good, sure, but ordinary).
-- I asked if they still sold bottles of Bowmakers for $25 apeice. That is what they told me they sold it for 2 years ago. I stayed at Thompson Chicago about a year ago and that is what I paid there. Well, they got back to me that they are $65 apiece. LMAO. No thank you. I like the scent, but the quality (especially of the conditioning) is subpar for such premium pricing.
-- From the minibar, we drank 1 bottle of bourbon for $35. Well, we got charged various other items amounting to a bit over $100. Now I have to deal with this. Great.
-- The water in the lobby was empty like the whole time we were there. Why? The place was empty too, only saw 2 other guests the entire couple of days.

At least the valet was easy and quick. The check in person was very good, and did lay out the globalist benefits, walk us to the elevator, and gave us a small pour of champagne (much better than the cold reception I got last time). The noise wasn't quite as bad in this room, perhaps due to the lower floor allowing for the base of the building to better bounce away from me the train-horns). The communications via text were responded to relatively quickly. The room was clean, and still in decent physical shape.

But hip design only gets me so far. I care much more about a solid breakfast benefit, large space (especially if getting a suite), and correct billing. I'm going to keep most of my stays at HR Dallas (despite it's wear) and GH DFW (despite it's location issues when I am not flying through DFW). At a lower cost, they always give me seamless billing (with 1 exception of misplaceing a hyatt charge on my side of the folio), great breakfasts, larger suites, and consistently excellent service, all at a lower cost. Even at a Cat 1-7 award, I'd rather spend the next one at GH DFW where they also have steamrooms and gym amenities such as water and towels (etc), and always an impressive breakfast.
