I’ve been offered a complimentary night at the same suite to make up for the initial stay.
I hope housekeeping shows up to make up the room this time. I’ll make sure to do as instructed yet again & hope it works this time: request it on the iPad AND hang the ornament outside the door (both things were done last time) indicating that I want the room cleaned. I’ll also make sure to give them more than 3 hours to do so, because it must not have been enough last time. I don’t know what they’ll do about stained cushions in the outside seating area or making sure that empty plates aren’t sitting at my breakfast table until I get up to leave or about coffee taking way too long to show up or food being very mediocre.
I will also make sure not to take my car, which I requested from valet and was told it’ll be 20-30 mins, but when I came down 40 (!) mins later no one knew anything about it. So we waited another 15 only to watch it almost get hit while the valet guy did a u turn in the 5pm NYC traffic on 57th and needed assistance from few other guys to make sure other cars let him finish the maneuver. I have the entire thing on video. Does it matter that it’s an expensive sports car that would take god knows how long to repaint bc the paint isn’t readily available? Absolutely not. I’d be as pissed if it were a cheap-... beater. No one deserves to watch their vehicle get handled like that.
I hope that the card isn’t disabled for 4pm late checkout this time, like it was promptly disabled even after the person checking me in made sure to point out that if I need late checkout and in order for me not have to deal with running around different floors/elevators, she’s taking care of it now.
But! As you enter the building you are told - welcome home. How arrogant of you to assume my home treats me like that. At $3k/night no less.
