Flghtaware and AC already delayed 8 hours, with the further delay it.will depart YYZ at 4:55am.

Toss in a crew timeout, catering expiration. Must be fun for the pax. If stuck onboard they'll have had their government mandated ration of tarmac delay water by now.

Of course there are plenty of AC lounges open 10pm-4am, right?
on top of all the 24hr restaurants and coffee shops in YYZ int'l.
I am assuming AC would have an empty 777 waiting at their hanger for situations like these, to help cut down on the 6 hours. Giving that this is at YYZ.

However the opportunity cost of keeping an empty plane just sitting there may not justify it.
