Just scrolling through my text messages from Air NZ #737 for last year they have sent me delay messages on 27 flights (average delay 60 minutes) and 8 flight cancellations. My first flight of the new year was also cancelled.
As there appears to be more and more delays I must admit the "Sorry" starts to feel hollow.
I had a great interaction pre xmas when flights were massively delayed out of Napier and the lady in the lounge got me on an earlier flight when mine was 3+ hours delayed but her amazing service and efforts kind of fade into the background after already sitting for 2+ hours waiting before she got it sorted for me.
A few airpoints or something other than sorry, not sorry wouldnt go astray.
