In the middle of terminal 4 of Madrid airport is the Salvador Dali lounge, which premium passengers with Iberia can visit. The lounge is pleasant with numerous facilities , a good choice of Spanish wine and a fair selection of hot and cold food items in the central buffet. It was rather crowded when I arrived and children were running around, which I really don't like, but it was possible to find a peaceful corner.

I boarded the flight to Zurich somewhat late and found that general boarding at already commenced. The business class cabin was full and there was a PoS sitting in the aisle seat of the front row. At least two of the bags belonging to the PoS ended up being strapped into the middle seat, so I found myself quite cramped in the window seat, 1F. In addition, the PoS had a loud conversation with her companion across the aisle for the duration of the entire flight. I find these people who broadcast their conversation to the entire cabin very tiresome and not classy.

Good meal in European business class with Iberia
The flight itself was very good, with a hot meal service that was miles better than Air France KLM or Lufthansa Group. The starter of Gravlax-style marinated salmon was followed by a choice of a vegetarian or meat based dish and I picked the pork shank with corn mousseline and sauteed broccoli. I worked my way through the selection of Spanish white wine and made the mistake of trying the sherries too, which made for a pretty rough trip home on the train later. We arrived at Zurich 25 minutes early after a superb flight across the Alps and all known landmarks.
