We don't know the specific rental details of the vacation package in this case. Any time we rent a vehicle with Avis, either as a vacation package or standalone, using the Chase BA Visa card gives us coverage.
Exact language from Chase BA travel benefits for cards issued in the USA states;
Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver — Decline the rental company's collision insurance and charge the entire rental cost to your card. Coverage is provided for theft and collision damage for most cars in the U.S. and abroad. In the U.S., coverage is secondary to your personal insurance.

My understanding is that the Chase British Airways Visa Signature does have a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) component and on the face of it that should be sufficient for
hyperspace relating to damage found by Avis. Of course CDW is only one component of essential car insurance for renting vehicles as it doesn't cover damage to other cars, theft of valuables or - more importantly - injury to people. I tend to use my Chase Sapphire Reserve when renting vehicles around the world as it has far more comprehensive protection.
