I have been dealing with a related issue. I'm EXP. I purchased a BA.com issued ticket from AGP-LHR-LAX-MAD-AGP in June 2023, before BA switched their earning from distance to fare based. The flights were for November/December 2023. I get that this itinerary would earn LPs based on fare paid now, even though I bought the tickets when they were earning based on distance. The ticket cost roughly 1,750 Euro (about $1900 at the time) RT. AA credited me around 9,600 LPs for the outbound and several weeks later 2,650 LPs for the return, or 12,316 LPs. I thought the return would have earned at least 7,000, given the "carrier imposed fee" of 250 Euro per overseas segment. I also noticed the Million Miler miles for the LAX-MAD segment was 1154 (should be 5845) and the miles for the MAD-AGP segment was 54 (should be 268). The other segments also showed incorrect Million Miler numbers.

I called AA, was on the phone for 45 minutes before being directed to BA. I called BA and was on the phone for 60 minutes before being directed back to AA. After 50 minutes, AA is sending me some email for me to return with information to back up my fare paid claim. The BA representative said something about BA sending AA the correct information but including Avios info, so I'm suspecting the information BA sent over is not correctly populating into the AA IT system. Definitely the MM numbers are not correct, and I'm sure the base/bonus miles are not correct either.

Bottom line is if you've got partner airline flights you are crediting to AA.com, double check your earnings (the MM number should be your first clue if things are okay or not).
