Agreed, and it's pretty creative for sure. That said, this would probably be bad if numerous people figured a "hack" like this out and it could quickly fall into the "why we can't have nice things" category if the blogs, etc. got a hold of it.

Think about it, in today's world an awful lot of people would have not trouble, whatsoever, paying £50 to be able to access T3 OW Lounges if they have OW status, but there were better/cheaper flights available on another carrier that one doesn't have status with.
