I moved to APAC pre covid. As a result of inactivity, my BA status has lowered to the ghastly blue.

I'm trying to find one way flights either UK to TH or reverse for Q1 or Q2 '24 for my wife and I (the return leg we can book via Thai Airways rewards). From what I recall, far fewer reward seats are made available for lower status users. Are there any book for a fee award flight services that would enable me to find seats that I cannot see on BA's redemption tool?

N.B. I'd considered positioning flights to EU, but we'd have to apply for a Schengen for my wife which seems like a pointless cost for a layover. **EDIT** It seems for transit passengers with a final destination outside of the EU, no visa is needed provided we stay airside. Small risk being if final leg is cancelled we're stuck in the airport...
