Just wondering on the below scenario with UA and or AC:
YVR-SFO (on UA or AC economy reward ticket), then on a separate ticket;
SFO-SYD (on UA reward ticket in J/Polaris, so an international flight to Australia)
As I will go through US preclearance in Canada, can UA or AC check my bag all the way through to Australia? maybe UA is a better option, however the UA flight gives me a lesser connection time than the AC flight, 4h 5min vs 2hr 32min.
Will either UA or AC be able to issue a BP for the second flight and would I possibly get the J baggage allowance on the second flight for the first flights? Thanks all.
