In terms of flavor, it was fine. I was already over-riced from the connecting flight, lounge, and the first meal, so I wanted something different… which this certainly was. However, it was pretty insubstantial, and if I hadn’t asked for cheese and fruit mid-flight I’d have still been hungry. All in all, I don’t regret ordering it but if the flight had been less busy I’d have requested the salad too.

I will say that in terms of presentation first impressions weren’t great, and the 787 mood-lighting certainly didn’t help. It would probably have been a struggle to make this much more visually appealing in F (if the second meals for F and J are still the same) had they kept the 777 on the route.
