“One-Time Rollover MQM Conversion Coming Late February”

So, between Feb. 1 and “late February” your status will be what you earned in 2023?

Ended 2023 with 232k MQM. They way I planned it with respect to how many MQD I earned in 2023 I’m rolling 182k MQM which I will convert to 18.2k MQD this making me PM to start the 2024.

The potential problem is between Feb. 1 and “late Feb.” is I would be only GM. Have been DM since 2020 but this year, where I would not hit DM MQD, I specifically calculated stopping my MQD earnings just short of PM so that I would not lose
25K MQM (=2.5k MQD in 2024) deduction.

So, I ended the year as 2024 GM on paper so that I don’t lose 2.5k MQD due to a 75k MQM
PM deduction instead of a 50k MQM GM deduction. MQD is the sole
currency for 2024 so I need all of them in order to get DM back sooner.

A couple of weeks might not be a major deal but imagine having an Asia trip with no GUCs left
for D1, with airport time in SGN and ICN, in the middle of that window and because of this rollover conversion delay not being ST Elite+ so you now don’t have access Lotus Lounge or Prestige Lounge.

If we can’t post MQM—>MQD conversion by the real start of the 2024 flying year to reflect how some of us have planned this all (for months) amidst the program changes, DL should
keep status for cases like mine where it is until they do.
