I hope I am making correct assumptions here. Assuming passenger entry doors and emergency exit doors are what we call plug doors (the pressurized cabin holds them tightly closed), why can’t door plugs (the thing that fell of asa 1282 ) be constructed the same way?
If the space they fill is ready for an emergency door to be fitted if an airline wanted to increase capacity, why not make the door plug the same as all the other doors in the fuselage.
Apologies in advance if I’m talking nonsense.
