Why the hell are there no pictures or discussion at all on the nature of the detachment of the door plug? There has to be 3 things...an area on the fuselage to which the door plug was attached, an area of the door plug that was attached to the fuselage, and something with which it was attached. So, what is remaining on the fuselage? So, what is the current condition? Does it look like something broke or does it look like it was opened? Surely, you can know that much by looking at the area.

A 2-hour capacity CVR has no recording after a mere 35-minute flight? How convenient but it can only come under deliberate action or criminal negligence. And even a full 2 hr recording doesn't cover an average flight so it is flawed to begin with. I can hear their frustration but powerful lobbies are preventing making this longer.
NTSB won’t report until they have at least preliminary conclusions. Presenting data in real time is certainly fun for some of us, but they don’t need to fuel speculation.
