Interesting that AAR chose to release the statement from an historical perspective. I recall the AA 191 accident in 1979 which turned out to be attributed to improper maintenance. However, in this case Voi-Shan the company that manufactured the pylon bolts took a different approach and stayed quiet along the public front; I presume they were working their position in the background rather than make public comments.
