But I will point out that a few of the places he wants to see (Portland, Brunswick, Mystic -- and New Haven, Providence, and New London, too, if he wants to include them) are accessible by Amtrak from Boston. Advance-purchase fares are quite reasonable. Luggage storage, however, could be an issue.
