My understanding is that the cockpit door opening on explosive decompression is an intended design to avoid a massive pressure difference between the cockpit and the cabin.
Now, I will wait for someone to state this is stupid on the part of Boeing and will give hijackers an idea of how to get into the cockpit of a plane. Also, my front door at home is stuck. I suspect Boeing is also responsible for that too...
