If you are converting MQM to MQD to bump your status level, waiting can be a mixed bag as you will be delaying your status bump (but could potentially convert more MQM to miles by waiting until the end). I'll be somewhat strategic about (going from Plat to Diamond), but will not wait until bitter end just to eke out a few more RDM.
