Infrequent flier here, apologies for the probably silly question.

This Sunday, I need to get a flight from Edinburgh to Amsterdam on KLM and will need to drop off some baggage to follow me to the US. My flight departs at 05:50 and as far as I can see, there's an Air France flight to Paris which departs at 6am and will presumably be using the same baggage drop off.

I'm usually quite conservative with arriving to places on time but the way it is working out with transport, I can't guarantee being in the terminal before 04:20 - 90 minutes before official departure whereas the official advice is that I should be there 2 hours before. Drop off is stated to close 40 minutes before.

I don't know anything about the drop offs at Edinburgh and how it will cope with the 2 flights, is my plan to arrive 90 minutes before totally reckless?
