Multi City Trip

I'm looking for some advice on making sure I am navigating the BA website correctly and have two questions :

1 - I'm trying to book a multicity trip as follows EDI->LCY few days LHR->ORD few days ORD->NYC few days NYC->LHR (Daytime flight followed by overnight stay) LHR->EDI in May 2024 all in Business
When I use the BA website it seems to only be offering me very limited flights on each of the days, and most frustratingly is not offering the daytime flight NYC. Is that just the BA website being crap or am I doing something wrong?

2- When I put the same trip in Skyscanner it is coming up with all of the flights on BA that I would actually want at £700 cheaper for the whole trip (£2,700 v £3,400 on the BA website). This is booking via a travel agent (travelup.com) - has anyone any experience of using them? I try to avoid stress when travelling and my instinct is to book direct with BA so if anything goes wrong they should (hopefully) be able to deal direct but am I being over cautious?

I'm a small business owner who travels enough to be Exec Club Gold so reasonably savvy however I am finding the BA website to be pretty hopeless nowadays.

Thanks
