With more and more automation at immigration, I just don’t see the need for US pre-clearance any more. It wouldn’t work for BA in any case due to the dramatically increased connection times that pre-clearance would require.

It also wouldn’t work at Heathrow in general with hundreds of thousands of passengers flying to the USA weekly, it would require over 600 CBP agents based at Heathrow.
