MU offers several daytime transfers on that route, so I highly doubt they'd pony up for a hotel. And, if they did, it would presumably suck.

If I were in your shoes, I'd opt for CZ via CAN instead because the I-D process is much kinder there (i.e. less walking, shorter lines, better food options). I also see that their fares are rock bottom right now.
