I’ve been looking at the Ziva Riviera Cancun for a family member bc it’s only 29k and I’d like to gift it to them. The lowest room category seems to be Tropical View Junior Suite King. At least all year that is the cheapest pay rate room and I can’t see anything “more base”. But spot checking all year and not a single award available. Not for anything at all for 2 people. The rate says “Sun, Sand, and Savings”. All year. Never says “standard rate” or “member rate”. Is this how the property is avoiding offering award stays? Anything to be done?
It took A LOT of teeth pulling to get this information as they repeatedly just kept saying, “the standard room is the One King Bed or Two Double Beds”. I explained repeatedly that this property DOES NOT have those room types AT ALL. That I’ve checked over and over the room types that exist at this property.
FINALLY after a week of back and forth then escalating it I got the answer!
I’m not sure if it helps much since I’ve checked literally 2 dozen date sets and none have points or standard rate availability. It may be cheating the system and might need escalating to
[email protected] since I have not even seen 1 single date in 2024 bookable on points likely because the Standard Rate isn’t there anywhere. Could be an innocent mistake, but at least now you have the escalated answer of what the Standard Rooms are at this property.
