P3 has couple of personal cards with Chase with 3-4 year banking relationship. Has never had an Ink or any business card.
Went in branch to check if there are better offers (none better than online on Ink cards). Banker mentioned that to apply for a business credit card, they require
1. an "assumed name certificate" from local county office. Initial web search indicates its registering for a DBA name
2. and first opening a business checking account and only then can they can put an app in for a business credit card
Did not have to do any of that for P1 & P2 but that was 6-9yrs ago.
If nothing has significantly changed, prefer to have P3 apply online as a sole prop with SSN.
Thoughts on likelihood of getting an online app approved for first Chase business card, even if it requires a recon call?
