Looking through the last few pages of this thread, it sounds like most Marriott properties in Beijing are either outdated or not that conveniently located (or very expensive ie. Bulgari).
I have a 10 night stay in Beijing in May and trying to decide where to stay. Would appreciate any suggestions, wouldn't mind splitting up the nights and trying a few different hotels either. I'm only platinum so don't really care about upgrades, mostly looking for a modern/renovated room and nice breakfast is a plus. Hotels I'm currently looking at:
1. JW Marriott Beijing
2. Westin Beijing Chaoyang
3. JW Marriott Beijing Central - seems far from any subway stations
4. Renaissance Beijing Capital Hotel - stayed here once back in 2018 and thought it was pretty nice, remembered the lounge being quite large
