Onboard video seems to show a guy sitting in 26C, with 26AB empty. I wonder if someone was in 26A, felt a cold breeze immediately upon takeoff, and switched seats. This might even involve someone moving across the aisle to 26D.
NTSB confirmed 26AB empty in last night's press conference. At approximately 9:25 into the briefing, the NTSB chair says "no one was seated in 26 A and B." I guess the mother and child whom people thought were seated in 26 must have been in either 25 or 27 instead.
At 17:55, she adds that the back of seat 26A "is gone," along with the headrests of 25A and 26A.
