Unless you live in MIA, chances are Copa is now the best bet for US-based travelers to get to secondary South American cities. They connect many US cities, including secondary ones such as LAS and BWI, with many (but not all) secondary South American cities that AA has abandoned, including CNF, BSB, VVI, and ASU. J class travelers will have to decide whether Copa's substandard hard product on many of their flights (only a handful of routes are flown by their MAX 9 with flat beds) is worth the more convenient itinerary, or if they're willing to do a two-stop home city -> US hub -> South American hub -> secondary South American city routing for a flat bed on the long-haul segment.
