When landing, the BA crew announced that all passengers, regardless of the final destination, must clear baggages and head for the next flight. The BA->WS connection isn't unfortunately covered by OSS. So, if you have an upcoming BA->WS connection, you'll have to retrieve your bags at the first port of entry, so plan your Intl->Dom connections accordingly.
Thank you for posting this. I have a similar BA > WS transfer planned on a LHR-YVR-YEG booking. My query is regarding baggage allowance. Whilst my allowance will be 2x32kg (in J) on BA, I believe this drops to 23kg on WS but their website is suitably vague. Even at 23kg, it states that fees "may apply" but I believe this may be to catch people out on the dimensions, maybe. Any insight would be appreciated.
