It was always nice to be able to book guest of honor awards for other people directly. If you now have to gift a guest of honor award, and then have the other person book it for themselves, that's quite the downgrade in my opinion. I liked being able to just text my friends that they were all set and to look out for a confirmation email, rather than walk them through setting up / logging in to their WOH account, checking availability, etc.
