I’m a 50k and have 2 status passes available. Going on vacation with 2 friends who are 25k. I just upgraded my wife and I to biz class since we’re within the 10 day window, but our friends are waitlisted as they’re not within their 4 day window.

If I use a status pass for them to get 50k for the trip, will this automatically un-waitlist them for biz class? There are Rs available.

Only reason I’m asking is would hate to waste a pass with it not doing anything for their upgrade.
