There is a 10 gate expansion of A that is scheduled to open in Fall of 2024. 7 of those gates are going to DL…which should free up some more gates for AA in the existing part of A.

doesn’t help the customs situation, and not sure if an overhaul/expansion there is part of the airport plans. But part of what is driving Charlotte’s continued growth is the low cost of the airport, which incentivizes driving a lot of connecting traffic through.

if it makes you feel any better, it can be mess on the roadways leading to the airport during busy periods as well. Just overall incompetence in terms of leadership and planning.
