Stayed here recently. Base rooms are small, but used a SUA to get into one of the King Suites, which are small by suite standards but true suites (bedroom can be completely closed off from living room). Rooms are spartan but well-appointed. Common areas are very nice, as nice as the Andaz or even the PHT in terms of their fit and finish. Breakfast is excellent. Small selection, but curated to a very high quality, and the a la carte stuff is extensive and very high quality (better than either Andaz or PHT, I think). The freebie stuff from the minibar is better than that I've seen at any Andaz, including the Andaz Tokyo when it first opened. Fully-staffed, service is top-notch.
Love the location right above the Toranomon Hills Station. I see no reason to stay at the GHT over this one, except maybe the pool, which is now consistently overrun by very annoying guests and their vacationing demon spawn. Speaking of annoying, the clientele here seems more sedate (at least as of now). Not as many looky-loos, Instagrammers, and influencers. And no braying white water buffalo, which is the GHT specialty. This may change as the word gets out.
At the current rates and rate differentials, this is my new go-to in Tokyo.
