Just a few more of my recent experiences in FRA:
Arrived in LH F from ORD and waited more than 1 hour at baggage claim. My suitcase came as one of the last ones (= priority baggage handling?!)
Security checks in A (Priority C/F line) took more than 30 min wait time, while LH app showed 5-10 min wait. Eco line was very very long. This was on Dec 29 in the morning.
Arrived in FRA on LH flight on Jan 2 with a good 1h delay (as incoming plane could not be fueled in time in FRA) . After a couple of minutes further delay, door was opened and the guy that operated the jetway told the FA that there is no loading crew available to unload plane (and reload for next departure) … There were many people on my flight that missed their connection and those that made it likely continued their trips without their luggage.
Hence, avoid FRA and travel with carryon only.
