Had applied a status pass few months back (Sept 2023) for a flight departing today (Jan 6, 2024). When friend tried to check-in last night it was charging for bags. I checked and the status pass had disappeared.
Aeroplan was closed so called AC and they confirmed the system dropped the pass about 24 hours after I applied it. Wound up using a new one. Called Aeroplan this AM, they confirmed the glitch, and a supervisor credited my account for the expired pass.
PSA - if you apply a status pass for a flight for the upcoming year, confirm it's copacetic < Dec 31.
