What amazes me is there were several passengers still in their seat who had to be “persuaded” to leave the aircraft. It’s impossible to know how we might behave in such a situation. We hear about passengers standing up and rushing to exit doors before instructed to do so but we don’t often hear about people who are reluctant to leave an aircraft on fire. They would not have survived had the captain and other crew members not checked every row before leaving the aircraft themselves.
Flight, fight, freeze.
