I panic if I don't have at least three new wrapped sets of earplugs stashed in assorted places in my carry-on and checked luggage. Also keep a new set in my backpack. I absolutely CANNOT sleep without them no matter where I am, thanks to an ex who snored liked a chainsaw. Even the heat pump kicking on outside will wake me up at home (don't get me started on leaf-blower Thursdays which begin at 0630).
