For my Explorer card, this is what I was offered:

Earn 4,000 bonus miles when spending $2,000 or more on your card in January.

Same for February.

Same for March.

Earn an additional 8,000 bonus miles if you reach the goal in all three months.

This equals 20,000 total bonus miles.
