In your situation there is a good chance your bags may go out on the earlier flight regardless.
thanks - you think they would put our bags on the earlier flight even if we are not booked on it? I think that has only happened to me once previously - and I cannot remember the specifics, that being said, I generally don't end up being booked in a situation like this very often. The closest was last year from PUJ to BWI to RDU on southwest
