It's hard to comment on exactly how next year will shake out with the current oversupply, but the bolded parts will make your task
much more difficult.
If your dates fall within the fare table's definition of high season, cash fares will be
astronomically higher (right now the difference from shoulder season 'K' is $400 per direction) as there is a massive demand spike at exactly the time you want to travel. Currently templating for season 'H' is 13-Dec through 23-Dec and 04-Jan through 13-Jan although this frequently is tweaked to capture demand. Per current template, season is based on the date of the outbound trans-Pacific sector. UA awards are starting to track cash prices more closely now, too.
