I have some interesting DP to report. Last week I reported trying unsuccessfully to use 2 different SS cards at Wally receiving an odd error.

Today I tried to use each of them again and 1 worked and 1 did not. Both attempts were at non-Walmart stores. The only difference was that the 1st card that worked I did not try to drain the entire balance. The card that failed and received a "Not Authorized" message, I did try to drain the entire balance.

I called the phone # on that card and there was an automated message that more declines will happen now due to stricter security. 1 of these increased security measures must be declining all (or at least some) transactions where the entire balance is used.

Interestingly, I successfully drained a regular "Vanilla" gc (not SS) for the entire balance at a non-Wally store earlier this week. So it's very possible that the regular "Vanilla" gc have not had increased security while the SS have.
