Hi all, so I have read the previous few pages of the not too old info and am still wondering about a few items that I hope the collective wisdom here can help me understand better.
I have a one-way Biz class booking (issued on 220 stock) for XIT (Leipzig Hbf) - FRA - SIN with FRA - SIN on SQ. My train segment is on a Thu evening while my SQ flight is on Fri mid-day, so I will stay at an airport hotel for the night to play it safe (with potential winter weather and DB / GDL strikes etc. one never knows, maybe I should make a backup rental car booking as well, haha). So far so good. May try to get shifted (50 euro booking change) to an LH flight when something opens up actually, but that's beside the point.
I can see the LH flight number for the Airail segment in my e-ticket / PNR and have a weird seat assignment that looks like this "602D". Now I understand that this is not the actual seat on the DB ICE and I can't make sense of it. The train has 1. Class in car 38 only on that day and there is no seat 60, no seat 02 or anything like that. Fine, patience I guess.
From what I read, to my understanding, when I'm within 23hrs for OLCI I can check in online via LH app / website for the flight (train) and then should see the BP for that train segment which I can also show to DB staff on the train. I thought I also read that one can pull up the train segment somehow on the DB app (which I have installed + have an account), but how does that work? Can I use the PNR reference or is there another code or reference number to be used? This part beats me so far so I'm grateful for any pointers. If I missed anything or got something wrong, please let me know as well. Thank you.
