According to my concierge, the new system means I can no longer book GOH for someone using my points from my account. They would need to have their own Hyatt account for the GOH award to be transferred to, and then I'd need to transfer points from my account to them (which can only be done once every 30 days?). So, if I was trying to book GOH rooms for two family members that didn't have their own points, the transfer frequency restriction would make it pretty difficult to do.
You should still be able to "gift" a stay to others by booking a reservation in their name, using your points. Once the reservations are made, you can "gift" your GoH award to them and they can apply it to the existing reservation. They will need to have their own Hyatt accounts for you to do the award transfer.
