My recent one-night stay here was very enjoyable. I found it to be a solid property, even at category two. I do think it's a bit of a stretch to call it an airport hotel. Although the journey time in the shuttle to and from the airport was only about 5-7 minutes, it's not located at the airport.

On arrival, I was thanked for being a Globalist and given an envelope containing a Dutch sweet, a drink voucher (later redeemed for a EUR5.50 beer) and a handwritten, personalised welcome note from the front office team.

My 5K (old rate) basic king was upgraded to a high floor king. The room had the Hyatt Place staple L-shaped lounge and footstool. It seems housekeeping hadn't quite finished as there was a bottle of bleach left behind and the drain in the shower had been lifted for attention. I also noted a significant amount of dust on the table bedside the bed. Unfortunately, I had a horrible sleep, due in part to a persistent noise like a loud shower. But it never ended and lasted throughout the entire duration of my stay. The USB charging port in the alarm clock also didn't function. There were a good selection of TV channels, including in English. It doesn't appear as though the hotel offers a laundry service as there was no bag in the room.

Breakfast was complimentary although cooked-to-order eggs were an additional EUR5.50. The spread was very good by US Place standards. I was surprised that breakfast was only available until 10am on weekdays (11am on weekends). For an airport property, I think 11am should be standard.

For a Hyatt Place, the gym was reasonable in size, mainly with cardio, but a couple of multiuse machines and a large range of dumbbells. I was surprised to see a 24kg kettlebell!

Staff were very friendly and professional throughout, as good if not better than what I've sometimes experienced at more expensive Regency and Grand properties. As just one example, I was asked at check-out how my stay was. I've stayed in hotels charging hundreds of euros a night and never been asked this, which I always find a very big disappointment.

I took the shuttle to and from the airport and it ran on schedule without issue. To the airport It appears to be complimentary only for Hyatt "ELITE" members.
