This is so frustrating because of the lack of accountability on AA part and no one there taking ownership.

Do we have an Executive Liaison contact that could help?
Good news. My conversation with the AA Advantage Supervisor called Serge yesterday seems to have worked. So after 10 emails to American Airlines, 5 phone calls to American Airlines, 3 emails to British Airways and 3 telephone calls to British Airways Executive Club, I received an email from American Airlines today confirming my miles were posted today. No apology or explanation about their previous emails referring to my miles being awarded to a non existent BA Executive Frequent Flyer account. Only thing is outbound miles awarded are double amount of the inbound miles awarded. Both flights were exact same length in Club World business class, so I'll need to find out what happened there. The email I received today also referred to my husband's outstanding miles as pending, so hopefully his might arrive tomorrow.
