$45k for 1K and minimum $30K for Plat. United seems to be keeping the funding levels high to deter people who look at the program primarily as an avenue to status. Probably why they bumped GS from $50k to 75k. They'll give it to you, but you gotta pay for it.
About the only benefit is the status is immediate upon funding and status amenity selection (vs spending the money during a qualification year until one gets the status "normally").
Is heard there was a differential -- like if you already were gold, the differential to plat wouldn't cost you $30k or 1k $45k. Since I may be interested in this, can someone forward the actual matrix, I guess of ammenity cost vs. $$ in? Can someone put it in the wiki?
