Probably true for an LONEx ticket. But remember that if you start from LON then you can't return to the UK until the very end of your trip, which may make using your European segments quite difficult. (You can't leave the UK twice.)

Wouldn't starting in, for example, HEL be better - cheaper than London (I think from memory without checking), easy to get to from Latvia, and more flexible in using your Euro segments?
