Agree on that, but the OP was originally in 2DF on a G-GAT which was the front row. So it the aircraft swapped to one with 1DF in place, the OP should not have been moved? Maybe the assigned aircraft had an inoperative seat flagged or something similar. I can't explain where the OP ended up though - but I have myself experienced very random seat changes due to 'operational reasons' (usually aircraft change).
