Not much to add. But to find the skybridge to walk to the hotel, walk outside arrivals level (lower) and cross the street to the parking garage and then go to floor 1. Someone pointed us upstairs from inside the terminal and that requires you to cross to the parking garage and then go down a level. The elevators in the terminal dont go to this intermediate level of the garage where you find the skybridge. Maybe a longer walk than i thought but perfectly fine.
Hotel staff interactions remind me lots of Vietnam in early 2000s, very eager to help but not always sure how. A bit of french goes a long way, menus are in english but if you can order in french things will be much easier. Food and beverage options are a bit sparse, 2 of the menu items were essentially the same, one veg, one with meat. Breakfast is decent but lots of pastries. Bar is really lightly stocked, no gin or vodka right now. But a decent array of local wines which were fun to try.
We are just here on this trip to pick up discounted biz tickets to LAX, so no grand plans. Hoping to get a tour/car through the hotel after breakfast to take us around for a few hours. Overall, the new airport terminal plus this hotel and the short hop from southern Europe make this a pretty decent place to grab cheap tickets. Much better than say Colombo 20 years ago!
edited to add: Walid at the concierge desk quickly got us set up with a minivan and driver for the day so we can tour the Casbah, botanical gardens and Basilica Notre Dame
