There is hardly any line for Immigration at AUH. There are automated gates that scan passport and take a photo/eye scan. When I entered I was routed to a manual counter and on exit I got the automated exit gate.
I would say not entierly correct, yes you have automated gates, however on return the scan didnt like me and you only seem to get one try after which your beeped and you need to join a line for a manual stamp. Line was about 20-25 mins I would say to the side of the automatic gates
