The bag drop baggage belts were broken at 7am this morning (1/2) at SEA. Everyone was pretty chill and treating employees respectfully, but between shuffling people around between bag drops and the construction reducing usable floor space in the land-side departures area, I’ve never seen such a bottleneck of people. FYI, I was dropping kiddo at the airport to go back to school. God only knows if her ski and boot bag will make it back today…saw lots of teens/college kids (presumably heading east) with parents doing the same thing.
Follow-up -- skis made it; suitcase did NOT

. And somehow, as luck would have it, we missed AirTagging it, so we could only hope and pray it arrived and eventually made it to her. Thankfully it came in on the next one, and it even made it to her dorm despite being delivered after-hours and there being no actual street address for her building. Even better, no damage and no missing items (all her Xmas presents were in the bag). Alaska once again makes the best of a not great situation...
